After Mitsubishi Chemical’s acquisition of Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products and 12 other major plastics and chemical companies, Design Revolution was retained to lead a comprehensive global rebrand (having acted as Quadrant's "agency of record" for the last 10 years). The challenge was to unify 13 companies under a single brand identity within a tight three-month timeline for foundational branding (logos, signage, etc.), followed by a full-scale rebrand over nine months covering all marketing and communication assets. With a very small internal Marcom team, my company acted as a bolt-on agency, collaborating with one marketing director per region (APAC, Americas, EMEA) to create both global and localized assets. Despite rigorous executive approvals and a complex global rollout, the brand successfully launched, and Design Revolution remained Mitsubishi Chemical’s agency of record for five years, overseeing all strategic communications and marketing initiatives.
RESULTS:
• Brand Integration: Successfully unified 13 acquired companies under one cohesive Mitsubishi Chemical brand
• Global Asset Development: Created logos, signage, brochures, flyers, websites, online presence, touchscreen sales tools, presentations, and press releases across APAC, Americas, and EMEA markets
• Efficient Execution: Completed initial brand overhaul in three months, full rebrand in nine months—a massive achievement given the scope and scale
• Long-Term Partnership: Continued as Mitsubishi Chemical’s agency of record for five years after representing Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products for the previous ten years, shaping global marketing and communication strategies
